Blackmere

A long, cold lake surrounded by broken, stony shores and dense pine growth. The Mire Road skirts along one part of it, but most avoid stopping for long. The lake is notorious for sudden changes in wind creating choppy water, and partially sunken rock shelves that could dash a canoe. The water is dark and cold, and people say something monstrous lurks in those icy depths.
